History and Experience

Olympian Construction Company, a Tennessee Limited Liability Company established in 1996, is an unlimited licensed General Contractor and Construction Manager in Tennessee, Kentucky and Alabama providing construction services for all aspects of general construction. Successful General Contracting is a mix of competent administrative officers along with hard working, experienced and knowledgeable supervision in the field.

The Managing Members are Scot Robinson and Raymond Crump. Scot Robinson has a degree in Construction Engineering and many years of experience in the Middle Tennessee market. He has successfully managed medical, retail and private office building projects for multi-millions of dollars. He obviously has a deep understanding of the how-to in construction. Scot is particularly attentive in implementing economical construction philosophies as they apply to both estimating and construction. In addition, Scot is directly involved in all the administrative, marketing and design-build aspects of the company.

Raymond Crump has evolved from a long line of field superintendents with a broad construction background. He has a very impressive list of projects to his credit, located in and around the Middle Tennessee area for multi-millions of dollars. With both office and extensive field experience, Raymond's contributions to the company are vital from an overview of the day-to-day operations of on-going projects. Raymond has built a reputation on integrity and quality, which permeates his extensive network of clients and contractors.

By forming an alliance with clients, the experienced and knowledgeable OCC TEAM is uniquely qualified to coordinate design-build scenarios.

Safety

The safety of our employees is one of the most important aspects of our operation. Employee safety must be considered first when scheduling construction. We are committed to providing the leadership and funds necessary to immediately eliminate any unsafe practices and/or conditions at the construction site.

A commitment to quality workmanship, while maintaining the construction schedule, is expected from each superintendent. Our commitment includes:

  • Establishing and implementing operating procedures
  • Drug free work place
  • Training of all employees for the equipment they are assignedto operate and any duties they are to perform
  • All employees on our projects are familiar with OSHA& TOSHA regulations (i.e. Right To Know Laws)
  • All employees are required to maintain updated CPR and FirstAid certifications

We maintain a clean and safe environment at all times. All procedures are properly distributed and posted for all OCC employees and subcontractors on the project.

Quality Control

Olympian Construction Company maintains a jobsite quality control program on each project under the direct supervision of the project superintendent. The project superintendent oversees progress for Olympian Construction Company's labor forces as well as all subcontractors. The OCC Team takes great pride in the quality of our projects and we feel that this is evident in our finished product. We obtain this quality through the excellent craftsmanship of our own personnel on major portions of the project. For the work performed by our subcontractors, quality is maintained by constant knowledgeable supervision and the desire of the subcontractors to maintain a positive working relationship with Olympian Construction Company.

Accounting and Cost Reporting

OCC's accounting department is led by our controller Phil Minnicks. Phil has a degree in professional accountancy in addition to being a Certified Public Accountant. His experience in accounting has been exclusively devoted to the construction industry. Phil has a strong dedication to the industry and to ensuring that Olympian Construction Company is provided the necessary financial data to operate profitably while maintaining the utmost degree of integrity and business ethics.

Our accounting and cost reporting is done through Timberline, the leading construction software for the industry. Timberline's systems interface with other programs and provide the Project Manager with the latest up to date information to assist the Owner with cost allocations and projections.

OCC's financial records are reviewed by an outside firm specializing in the construction industry.

Our field personnel channel invoices to the Project Manager who determines the proper cost coding; Accounting checks for proper documentation. Reports are generated with each transaction indicated on the job cost report for tracking costs.

The ability to track and allocate costs to each job makes the project run smooth and on schedule. Completing jobs "on time" and within cost projections are all hallmarks of OCC's success.
