The congregation of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church (GSUMC) and the community of Hendersonville, Tennessee are very excited about their new Christian Life Center which was completed in August of 2005.
Olympian began performing design services in the spring of 2004 for the new Christian Life Center. After several months of design preparation with architectural firm Hart Freeland Roberts, Inc., and North Star Engineering, the groundbreaking ceremony was held in the fall of 2004 with construction starting immediately thereafter.
The new Christian Life Center is a 27,900 Sq. Ft., two-story pre-engineered metal building with load bearing masonry walls in the lower level and hollow core precast planks in the upper level. The building features a full-service state-of-the-art kitchen, which is capable of feeding 700 people, full-time daycare center for church and public use, new gym with full basketball court, a running track on the upper level and stage with lighting and sound systems as well as choir practice areas. The CLC also has several Sunday school classrooms for grades 6 to adult and administration offices.
The Grand Opening was held August 21, 2005 with the congregation, building committee, design/ construction team and local officials in attendance. The Olympian Team is delighted to report the completion of yet another successful design/build project.
